The WarsThe beginning of the Darkheart begins here. The year 0 DH. This is around the medieval time period. In the year 0 DH, there were 4 friends who dreamed of becoming famous persons, wishing to be the very people that they respected. They wanted to be idols, role models, respected. The friends' names were
Vampa,
Addio,
Brina, and
Requiem. They had been friends since childbirth. They went to the same schools, had the same studies, and played the same sports. Their only true differences lie in their heritage, their appearance, and their interests.
Onto the bloodshed...
In the year of 1 DH, near the Autumn session, a civil war broke out in the country of Isri. It was the East against the West. The East side was the richer of the two, and thus had more weapons and knights at their disposal. However, the West was more resourceful. Those who fought in the West had much more skills and a higher chance of surviving than the East did.
The two areas known as Mirth and Sira, located in the East and West respectively, were the very border of the East and West. They were at the very center of the war. However, most of the warriors from either side had actually made friends in the other, thus making it a much higher ante than ever expected. Entire families were lost in what became known as the Battle of Mira. Fathers had slain sons. Brothers had slain brothers. Mothers were the worst victims, though. They had to suffer and watch their family attack one another, all because of their preferences on living.
No one is entirely sure what caused the spark that turned silly rivalry between the East and West into a full-on war, but it is speculated upon that the cause was simply because Lord Yar, of the East, was bored. This speculation is due to rumors that circulated from the Journal of Lord Yar.
The Journal Entry:
Date: 1335 July 9
It is to my utter boredom that I must sit here in this room, with nothing to do but sign bills and documents and attempt to get a rise out of my followers. I do so wish that I could leave this room to find myself in the pleasure of a puttock, writhing in agony as she would flog my backside and tease my front. Perhaps those thoughts are best saved for later.
...
It is now much later in the evening. I have received news that the West is becoming a well-flourished area, and that some of my followers are going to be leaving for there. I cannot allow this to happen, under any circumstances. If I lost my followers, the East would soon die.
Our Friends...
In the year 3 DH, around the Spring Session, our four friends Addio, Brina, Vampa and Requiem had decided to support the West side of Isra. They had done so by sending them supplies, food, and by helping with the medical team. There's nothing soldiers enjoy more than knowing they've got people to back them up.
The End Result...
In the end, the West had won the civil war of Isra. There are still quite a few rebels in the East, but they are smart enough to know not to attack the West.
The war was won when Siria, a man of prime age, stabbed Lord Yar in the heart at the Battle of Thime. The East fighters had either all retreated at this point, or were throwing down their weapons and joining the West. Now, a village resides in the West named after Siria for his brave fight.
The Fourth Year...
By the fourth year of Darkheart (4 DH) our friends had grown stronger and smarter. Brina was working on creating her own Magick spells, such as hiding objects from sight. She used this spell once to hide Vampa from the war dogs. They had been after him for his attempt at murdering the King. He is still presumed dead.
